Sam Bell has been named the Delamar/Cengage Learning ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year. From a field of over 400,000 certified automobile technicians, Sam Bell was chosen as the Delmar/Cengage Learning ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year. The award was announced in October, 2010.

CWRU taps local talent for DARPA Urban Challenge Team
Sam Bell, founder and chief technician at the Lusty Wrench, was invited to join the Case Western Reserve University ‘s Urban Challenge Team as a mechanical consultant. The DARPA Urban Challenge was a national competition to develop autonomous robotic vehicles capable of operating in an urban environment without human guidance or intervention. Google now operates a small fleet of autonomous vehicles using technology developed and honed in the Urban Challenge.
